Strength FAQ's General What user height range are your machines designed for? All products are designed for optimum use by users between 4'10" to 6'5" How much do the plates weigh? CYBEX has used several sizes of weight plates. All Eagle, VR3 and older VR2 machines use 20 pound plates with a 10 pound top plate. VR1 is available with 10 or 15 pound plates. Both versions use a 10 lb top plate. Modular Systems use either 9 pound plates or 12.5 pound plates; typically the lighter plates are found on movements like the Tricep Pressdown or Arm Curl. Older VR Classic was available in multiple weight stack configurations over the years and used 9, 12.5 and 20 pound plates depending on the configuration. Galileo also used 20 pound plates but in a high-mass , short-travel configuration that made a 20 pound plate feel like a 10 pound plate.
