Collapse What maintenance procedures are recommended for my treadmill? What maintenance procedures are recommended for my treadmill?
Users should wipe down the machine after each workout with a GymWipes wipe to remove any residual sweat as it is corrosive to the metal surfaces and may cause rusting over time.

Routine maintenance should include cleaning, inspecting and possibly some lubrication and adjustments.
  • Unplug your treadmill and remove the hood cover.
  • Vacuum inside around the motors and elevation assemblies, take care not to hit any sensors or unplug any wires.
  • Wipe down soiled upholstery with recommended cleaning products such as GymWipes or a mild solution of 10% household liquid dish soap and 90% warm water. When cleaning the display or any electronics area, apply cleaning solution to a cloth first then wipe the display. Spraying any cleaning solvent on the display can damage the electronics.
  • The elevation assembly can be lubricated with white lithium grease.
  • Adjustment of the running belt is described in the following procedures.
Collapse Why do I occasionally get a static shock when I plug in my headphones or touch the frame of my treadmill? Why do I occasionally get a static shock when I plug in my headphones or touch the frame of my treadmill?
When using a treadmill, static charges can build up on the user. This happens more frequently when the relative humidity is very low, as in a heated building during the cold winter months. These static charges are generated by the friction between the running belt and the deck. It is the same as static building up from the friction between shoes and a carpet as you walk across a room and then touch a doorknob and feel a static discharge. Static shocks can be annoying but they are not dangerous to the user. Raising the relative humidity of the room, using anti static sprays or not wearing nylon/synthetic fabric running outfits can help lower the potential for static discharge – or simply touch a metal surface on the treadmill to dissipate the charge.
Collapse My running belt has moved over to one side. How do I re-center it?My running belt has moved over to one side. How do I re-center it?
Start the treadmill and, without anyone on the belt, increase the speed to 4.0 MPH (6.4 KPH). Locate the two large tracking bolts at the rear of the treadmill. Observe whether the belt is running more towards the left or right side of the deck. If the belt appears to be moving to the LEFT, turn the left tracking bolt 1/4 of a turn to the right. This will move the running belt to the RIGHT. If the belt appears to be moving to the RIGHT, turn the right tracking bolt 1/4 of a turn to the right. This will move the running belt to the LEFT.
Continue this process until the belt is aligned properly.
Collapse My running belt feels as if it is slipping. How do I fix that?My running belt feels as if it is slipping. How do I fix that?
If the running belt slips while walking or running you will need to increase the tension on the running belt. Tighten both tracking bolts by turning them 1/4 of a turn clockwise. Continue this process tightening each bolt equally until the belt stops slipping. CAUTION: Be careful to not over tighten the running belt during this process. It typically should take less than one, max two complete turns of the bolts to fully tighten the belt.
Collapse Do I need to lubricate my running belt and deck?Do I need to lubricate my running belt and deck?
CYBEX recommends against the use of any lubricant on a treadmill running belt or deck. For over 15 years the design of our running belts and decks has eliminated the need for any additional application of lubricant.
Collapse What does an Error code on my display mean? What does an Error code on my display mean?
An Error code signals a problem with your treadmill. Unlike the other display messages an Error code needs to be addressed immediately. Call your dealer, authorized CYBEX service provider or CYBEX Service for assistance.
Collapse What is a dedicated circuit or line, and do I need one? What is a dedicated circuit or line, and do I need one?
A dedicated line means that the treadmill is on its own private wiring and circuit breaker - an individual branch circuit. Like any other major appliance, an oven, washer or dryer, etc. – the treadmill has high power requirements. Without a dedicated line your treadmill may not work properly and therefore generate unnecessary error messages. The initial cost of installing a dedicated line will far outweigh the potential cost and expense later down the road for repairs and service calls.
Collapse How do I check the mileage? How do I check the mileage?
Refer to your owner's manual on how to enter the Diagnostic or Statistics Mode as it differs by model. These modes supply information about statistics such as total distance or hours, as well as allowing accessing to various diagnostic tests.

Collapse I can't use my programs on my treadmill, only manual mode works. Why?I can't use my programs on my treadmill, only manual mode works. Why?
You may have disabled the Program feature on your treadmill.
You need to enter the Setup Mode on your treadmill and turn the Program mode ON. Refer to your owner's manual on how to enable the Program mode for your specific treadmill model.
Collapse The actual speed of the treadmill seems to be much slower than the displayed speed. Can I adjust or calibrate my speed? The actual speed of the treadmill seems to be much slower than the displayed speed. Can I adjust or calibrate my speed?
CYBEX treadmills have speed sensors that automatically measure the speed many times per second and will produce an Error code message on the display - if the speed is greater or less than the programmed speed. In the case described the treadmill may be in the Metric mode and the speed is being displayed in kilometers not miles. If in the Metric mode your treadmill will start up at 1.6 instead of 1.0. If this appears to be your problem refer to your owner's manual on how to change between the Metric & English modes for your specific treadmill model.
Collapse My treadmill will not turn on; it was working yesterday, what's wrong? My treadmill will not turn on; it was working yesterday, what's wrong?
First make sure the power switch is turned on. Check to see if the outlet the treadmill is plugged into is still "live", this can be tested with a meter or plugging another device into the outlet to see if it works. The circuit breaker may have tripped - check for that at the electrical power panel. If the treadmill was moved or disassembled recently there may be a damaged or disconnected cable. If the above steps do not succeed in determining why your treadmill will not turn on, you need to have a trained service technician investigate the problem. Call your dealer, authorized CYBEX service provider or CYBEX Service for assistance.
Collapse I want to run for thirty minutes but my treadmill shuts off after only twenty minutes, why?I want to run for thirty minutes but my treadmill shuts off after only twenty minutes, why?
That depends on how your treadmill stops. If it slows down and turns off by itself, you may be running in a Program or the treadmill’s Time Limit feature may be preset for only twenty minutes. Consult your owner’s manual for setup details regarding your Time Limit feature. If the circuit breaker itself has tripped, it may be an indication that the treadmill is drawing too much current. A worn running belt and deck surface can cause excessive current draw and trip the breaker causing the treadmill to shut off prematurely. If needed, call your dealer, authorized CYBEX service provider or CYBEX Service for further assistance.
Collapse My heart rate is not displayed on the console, what is wrong? My heart rate is not displayed on the console, what is wrong?
That may depend on which heart rate transmitting and receiving system you have, as well as if your treadmill is equipped to display heart rate signals. Some treadmills are equipped with wireless receiver systems; check the owner’s manual to see your treadmills heart rate capabilities. To operate properly, the transmitter belt must be moist and in contact with your skin to operate properly. Other treadmill models have contact heart rate and you will need to place your hands on the grip contacts to receive a pulse signal. Both of the above methods may require as long as 30 seconds to display a good solid pulse rate stream.
Collapse How can I move my treadmill to a different location? How can I move my treadmill to a different location?
Some treadmills have wheels mounted in the front of the frame. To lower the wheels, turn on the treadmill and raise the elevation to 5%. Turn the power switch to the OFF position - this will keep the treadmill in the elevated position. You can now carefully lift up the rear of the treadmill and wheel it around the room on the front wheels.
CAUTION! - When elevated do not push across cracks in the floor or bump into doorway thresholds, this can damage the treadmill’s elevation assembly.
Collapse I hold on to the handrails to support my weight at higher elevations. Can this hurt my treadmill?I hold on to the handrails to support my weight at higher elevations. Can this hurt my treadmill?
Yes, holding onto the handrails is bad for the treadmill and in turn does not give you the best workout. It creates a lot of drag on the running belt and can then overheat the drive motor and electronics. It also puts more of a load on your upper body and will not give you the most effective workout benefits you are looking for. You should lower the elevation and the speed a bit, then walk or run within your personal limits. To use the treadmill properly, you should use a light touch on the grips for proper balance and control.
Collapse How do I set-up options for 750T Treadmill?How do I set-up options for 750T Treadmill?
All 750T treadmill product offer expanded setup options the facility owner can use to enhance their user’s experience. See below for some of the features.

Max Time
One of these new features is the ability to set the maximum workout time based on the level of activity in the gym at different times of day. For example, if the club is busy in the morning, with users trying to get in a quick workout at the beginning of their day, the owner may want to limit workout times to ½ hour sessions. Later in the morning, when traffic tapers off to a more moderate level, this maximum time can be expanded to 1 hour. When business picks up again in the evening, workout times can be cut back to 45 minute sessions. Late evening, when there is minimal activity, the maximum workout time can be unlimited. Other choices are a single "Max Time" of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 90, or 120 minutes or no Max Time setting.

Combination Lock
The ability to restrict access to the equipment can be activated using the "lock out code". The lockout feature can be activated on a temporary, one-time-use basis by entering the lock code, or set to always require the code be entered. This can be helpful in settings where close supervision of the user is necessary.

Custom Programs
Personal trainers will like the ability to save a program customized to a client’s specific needs. While not appropriate in all facilities, the ability to offer this service in smaller clubs is a plus.

Speed and Elevation Limits
For the 750T Treadmill, there is an added safety feature that allows the owner to set maximum speed and elevation limits. No user should be allowed to run the treadmill at a speed that exceeds their ability. Higher speeds have a higher risk of the user losing control and falling, possibly resulting in injury.

The default speed limit from the factory is 12.4 MPH (20.0 KPH). In certain settings, for example a sports team’s training center, the treadmill can be set to its full speed of 15.6 MPH (25.1 KPH). In other facilities, such as a Physical Rehabilitation Center, a lower setting may be appropriate.

Likewise, the elevation limit can be set anywhere from 0% to 15% grade. The ability to set the appropriate limits allows the owner greater control, for the safety of their users.

Of course, the E-STOP Lanyard should be used at all times.

Owner’s Manual
How to activate these and other features can be found in your Owner’s Manual under the heading "Setting Operation Options".
